Exhibitors Service Network of Texas applauds UBC leadership training

Today’s construction leaders need an expanded skill-set and a new mind-set to succeed in the increasingly face-paced and highly competitive industry. Successful leaders will focus on collaboration and a partnership that leverages the best of each team member.

Recently, contractors who work with the Central South Carpenters Regional Council for their manpower needs had the opportunity to get free, high-level collaborative leadership training, thanks to this partnership.

The Collaborative Leadership: Building Jobsite Leaders conference focuses on leadership, communications, entrepreneurship, coaching, and collaboration among the parties of a building project, such as the contractor, general contractor, project manager, facility manager and the owner.

One conference participant was Exhibitors Service Network of Texas. “I thought the material presented was helpful and informative,” said ESN’s Steve Alford. “The information was provided in a way that everyone will be able to use on any job site.”

Participants learned how their personal leadership style impacts those around them, how to build strong collaborative relationships, and how to leverage the leadership potential of others. They came away from the Conference with a personalized leadership action plan.

The three-day program is taught at the Carpenters’ 17-acre International Training Center in Las Vegas, which includes meals, recreation, and lodging accommodations.

“The facility was a perfect location for members to receive training in all areas,” Alford said. “It is an awesome facility.”
